How we choose sites
This is a community effort—CyberSpark.net visitors and supporters nominate most of the sites we monitor.
To qualify, a web site must be that of a registered non-profit, non-governmental organization (in any country) that in a positive way promotes free speech, human rights, nonviolence, ethics, freedom of the press, or provides vital services that contribute to the promotion or preservation of these ideals.
We verify the organization’s existence, check the web site, and then consult (if possible) with the webmaster. If we can identify a responsible individual, we then add the site to our monitoring systems.
Basic monitoring includes checking every 20 to 60 minutes, and alerting when certain discrepancies are found.
